The shape of a welcome offer
A deposit match credits bonus funds worth a percentage of your first deposit. The percentage is the headline, and it is the least important number in the offer.
Underneath sit three conditions: how many times the amount must be staked, at what minimum price, and within how many days.
Those three decide whether the offer can be cleared at all. The percentage only decides how large the number is that you are trying to clear.

Turnover, worked through in shillings
Take a fifty thousand shilling deposit with a hundred per cent match and a five times turnover requirement on the bonus.
Fifty thousand in bonus funds, times five, is two hundred and fifty thousand shillings of bets that must be placed before anything can be withdrawn.
Turnover is total stakes, not losses. Every bet counts once, whether it wins or loses, which is why the figure is smaller in practice than it first sounds.
What makes it hard is not the amount. It is the condition in the next section.

Nearly every sportsbook bonus here requires that qualifying bets be priced above a stated figure, commonly 1.50 or 1.80 in decimal terms.
Bets below that price contribute nothing. People clear two hundred thousand shillings of turnover on short-priced favourites and find the counter has not moved.
That is not a trick, and it is always in the terms. It is also the single most skipped line in Tanzanian betting.

Free bets are not free money
A free bet stakes an amount on your behalf and returns the winnings only. The stake is not returned with the win.
A ten thousand shilling free bet at 3.00 returns twenty thousand, not thirty. That difference surprises people the first time, every time.
Free bets also usually expire quickly and often carry their own minimum odds.
They are worth taking. They are simply worth less than the number printed on them.
Accumulator boosts
A boost adds a percentage to the return of an accumulator if every selection wins, rising with the number of legs.
It costs the operator nothing on the far more common outcome, which is that one leg loses and the whole bet goes down.
That is why boosts are advertised so loudly: they are a discount on a long shot, funded by the long shot almost always losing.
If you were going to place the accumulator anyway, take the boost. Do not place one because a boost exists.
Cashback and insurance
Cashback returns a share of net losses over a period, usually weekly. Where it arrives as cash with no turnover attached, it is the cleanest offer on any site.
Where it arrives as a bonus with its own turnover requirement, it is a welcome offer wearing a different name.
Accumulator insurance refunds the stake when exactly one leg lets you down, often as a free bet rather than cash.
Read which of the two forms it takes. That single word changes what the offer is worth by a factor of several.
Casino bonuses and contribution tables
Casino offers work the same way but with a contribution table instead of a minimum odds rule: slots count fully, table games count a tenth or nothing.

A bonus is a commitment to turnover in exchange for a larger balance. If the required turnover exceeds what you would have bet anyway, the offer is working against you.
Someone who bets fifty thousand shillings a month will not clear two hundred and fifty thousand of turnover inside thirty days without changing how they bet.
Declining the offer and betting your own deposit is a legitimate choice, and most cashiers allow it at the moment of depositing.
Nobody advertises that option, which is exactly why it is worth stating.
